New business model creates more robust market presence for CAD/CAM software developer

27 June 2007: In December 2006 Planit Holdings began a corporate restructuring which included the move from public to private ownership. This consolidation of resources was the first part of a strategy to move away from the geographic business units that were then in place, and implement a global business model. The new structure of operations allows Planit to forge strategic alliances with key players in a number of important markets.

One of the primary global business units that have now been formed is Planit Metals, which develops, implements and supports a number of highly-respected product brands:

EdgeCAM - the standard in intelligent solids-based manufacturing 

Radan - world leaders in CAD/CAM for the sheet metal industry 

Jobshop - total manufacturing and production control solutions

This self-contained business unit gives Planit greater reach, agility and flexibility in meeting market demands, and provides better-focused channel and territory expansion opportunities.

Bryan Pryce, CEO of Planit, says that the new corporate model will allow Planit to "maintain its growth both organically and through acquisitions", a process the company has successfully implemented many times in the past.
