Nemetschek Presents a Windows Vista-capable Version of Allplan for Architects and Designers
Munich, April 26, 2007 With Allplan 2006.2 Nemetschek introduces a new version of its CAD software. Thanks to improved interoperability, Allplan 2006.2 supports seamless cooperation between planning partners. For architects and designers this means greater flexibility and optimized planning processes thanks to faster data flow. Allplan Architecture is a complete solution for architects and building design professionals. It covers the entire design process from sketching to studies, modeling, layouts, detailing, quantity take-offs and construction documentation. The ability to view and edit a project in 2D, 3D or both at any time provides immediate feedback while working and speeds up the design process. Allplan works with Windows Vista The new version Allplan 2006.2 is based on the generation 2006. Only a few weeks after the market launch of Windows Vista in Europe, the release is capable of running on the latest Windows generation. Users can switch to Windows Vista during an ongoing project without problems or time-consuming data conversions. According to a survey carried out by Nemetschek, 30 percent of the architects and designers asked intend to switch to the new operating system within the next six months. IAI certifies new interface in Allplan Allplan 2006.2 also optimizes cooperation between architects, designers and building clients. The future-oriented IFC format makes it possible to exchange model data across functions and applications. Nemetscheks current IFC 2x3 version in Allplan 2006.2 has successfully passed the IAI certification for the area of architecture, indicating a high level of practical application. Version 2x3 allows the exchange of 3D object data as well as 2D elements such as labels, text, symbols and hatching styles. The new IFC format in Allplan 2006.2 also supports the traditional industry standard DWG/DXF 2007. Both versions are available immediately via authorized contract partners.
