ArchonCAD Introduces Online VectorWorks User Group
Columbia, Maryland (March 14, 2007) - Nemetschek North America
announced today that ArchonCAD, a New Zealand-based VectorWorks training
and support provider, has launched a new online user group format for
VectorWorks users worldwide. Called ArchonCAD Support Monthly, the new
user group is delivered to subscribers as a monthly newsletter. Each
month, subscribers will receive the newsletter as a PDF containing a
workshop topic with accompanying step-by-step screen shots, exercises,
and movies; a question-and-answer feature; and two extended podcasts
demonstrating VectorWorks tips and tricks.
"Shetland Properties Limited has been a long-time supporter of
Jonathan's training methods, whether it is his classroom courses, user
group meetings, or manuals, and we are looking forward to his new
training program, because it offers such flexibility for us," says Allan
Johnston of Shetland Properties Limited. "It's not always easy to find
the time to attend the user group meetings when work and client meetings
run after hours. The ArchonCAD Support Monthly newsletter format means
our staff can take advantage of learning new topics when they have some
down time. This is the logical step in increasing access to Jonathan's
training programs. We always appreciate his unfailing enthusiasm and
extensive CAD knowledge, and now we have a more convenient way to get to
it."
As principal of ArchonCAD, architect Jonathan Pickup has been
providing training and consulting services to architects and design
professionals since 1993. He has written several VectorWorks training
manuals for architects, landscape architects, educators, and design
students, and offers VectorWorks tips and tricks via podcast. He also
co-chairs the New Zealand VectorWorks User Group.
Nemetschek North America is a wholly-owned subsidiary of European
software giant Nemetschek AG. A global leader in design technologies,
Nemetschek N.A. has been developing CAD software for the AEC,
entertainment, landscape design, and manufacturing fields since 1985.
VectorWorks, its flagship product, is one of the world's best-selling
cross-platform CAD applications. An all-in-one solution that's easier to
learn and use and more cost-effective than most other CAD programs,
VectorWorks is ideal for firms that don't have unlimited IT budgets.
