Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Selects Bentley’s BE Careers Network ProgramCollege’s Engineering Students Will Benefit From Hands-On Experience With More Than 40 Software Products From Bentley
New Delhi, India – South Asia Headquarters – May 11, 2006 – Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced that the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, a leading Indian engineering college, has selected the BE (Bentley Empowered) Careers Network program to introduce engineering students to the latest software for improving the world’s infrastructure. The program will support IIT Kanpur’s efforts to provide its students with the software skills they need to succeed in the field of infrastructure, including architecture, engineering, construction, and operations. Its adoption will give the students practical, hands-on training in the latest commercial computer-aided design and engineering software encompassing the entire lifecyle of building, plant, civil, and geospatial projects. By providing students with the same Bentley solutions used by infrastructure professionals, the BE Careers Network program increases their chances of joining some of the most preeminent organizations in the world. In addition, through tailored, flexible programs for students, teachers, and schools, combined with free and discounted software, training, curriculum counseling, and award programs, BE Careers Network enables colleges and universities to cost-effectively incorporate architecture, engineering, and construction technology into their curricula. Commenting on the program, Bhupinder Singh, managing director, Bentley South Asia, said, “The BE Careers Network program underscores Bentley’s commitment to the community of educators that has the critically important responsibility of training today’s architectural and engineering students, whose assignment will be improving the world’s infrastructure. I say critically important because the infrastructure improvements these future architects and engineers bring to this region will translate into a greater competitive edge in world markets for South Asia’s many growing enterprises.” Students and faculty are eligible for more than 40 products for building, civil, plant, and geospatial design and engineering applications on an annual subscription basis when they participate in the BE Careers Network program.
