Sydney Australia - 12 April 2006 -- Advanced Sheetmetal Technologies (AST) has set up a complete consultative approach for clients investing in their Sheetmetal automation products and associated software.

More than just supplying machines, AST is aiming to improve the cost of life cycle of its clients' entire production systems, says Manager of this new section of the company, Mr Andrew Bentrup.

"We do close studies and evaluations on all their equipment and formulise how it all integrates, then the client inputs its own figures to gain a quantified appraisal of their performance.

Results can be achieved confidentially, and it will be an accurate reflection of the returns they are currently experiencing."

Mr Bentrup says the consultancy gives the option to look completely at the processes which use the machine - not just one piece of equipment at a time, but how they all work in an integrated environment.

"We have complete solutions from start to finish. Our customers now see us a way of adding value to their businesses, rather than just selling a product.

"For example, one of our clients, which recently installed on a C6 Compact Express turret punch press, has not just implemented new machinery it has gained getting better profits as a result of the investment.

In addition, the workers are freed up to do other important duties while the automation is in action and there is a higher level of safety on the production line."
