Rasterex releases RxViewServer R8.0

Oslo, Norway - March 31, 2006: Rasterex Software, a global leader in visualization and collaboration technology, today announced the release of version R8 of RxViewServer, their server-based solution for viewing of documents and drawings over the web.

RxViewServer allows users to view, print, measure, markup and collaborate on more than 250 different file formats over the web. There is no installation needed on the client machines. The CAD drawings, plot-files, PDF files, Office documents, raster images etc. are uploaded from the corporate intranet, extranet, web portal or content management system - and a safe representation of the file, containing all native data, is streamed over to the user's web browser.

Version R8.0 comes with a brand new Graphical User Interface that is close up to what we see in the most modern Windows applications. This has opened up new possibilities to implement a series of useful and sophisticated markup and collaboration tools. Customizable stamps and engineering symbols can be added as markup elements, a markup list keeps track on the markup entities (and the list can be printed out as a report for revision control), the markup entities are all searchable and editable and all user markups can be gathered into one consolidation layer.
