Striker Systems Offers DNC Software for Pocket PC
WHITE HOUSE, Tennessee - March 6, 2006 - Striker Systems, an
industry leader in the development of metal forming and fabrication
CAD/CAM software, is pleased to announce the introduction of a DNC
communication software for Pocket PC devices.
DNC2go transforms a Pocket PC device into a portable management and
transfer system for CNC programs. CNC programs can be copied to a Pocket
PC from any Windows powered PC. With DNC2go, the CNC programs can then
be transferred from the Pocket PC device to a CNC machine controller.
Since DNC2go supports multiple communication configurations, numerous
CNC machines can be serviced from a single Pocket PC. CNC programs can
be transferred to the CNC machine controller via serial cable or
wireless Bluetooth serial adaptors.
"It is the portability of DNC2go that makes it a truly
functional system" according to Michael Boggs, Striker Systems
Sales Manager. "We often encounter situations where there is no
network access from the shop floor. Imagine being able to carry your
entire CNC program catalog in the palm of your hand with the ability to
transfer to any CNC machine through wireless communications. That's the
kind of flexibility available with DNC2go."
DNC2go supports both Send and Receive modes, so CNC programs can also
be transferred from a CNC machine tool controller to the Pocket PC. The
Pocket PC can be used to maintain, organize, and even edit the programs.
At any time the Pocket PC can be synchronized with a Windows powered PC
via Microsoft's ActiveSync (free download) software. This makes the
Pocket PC an excellent device for portable maintenance of CNC
programs.
