CAD Schroer Wins PTC European Software Partner of the Year Award
Moers, Germany November 30, 2005 - CAD Schroer GmbH (CSG), the global engineering solutions provider whose powerful STHENO/PRO drafting plug-in for Pro/ENGINEER has enthused engineers at PTC/USER events throughout the world, was recently awarded the prestigious European Software Partner of the Year 2005. CAD Schroer GmbH is a PTC Gold tier Software Partner. On October 25, 2005, PTC recognised the long-standing, committed relationship between the two companies in a ceremony on the last day of PTC/USER in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Brian Shepherd, PTCs Senior Vice President for Product Management, awarded the official plaque to Detlev Kohley, CSGs Sales Department Manager. CSG, which this year opened new subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and France, has been a PTC software partner since 1998. The company has spent years co-developing products with PTC, and was praised for its commitment to providing solutions that work hand-in-glove with Pro/ENGINEER, Windchill and Pro/INTRALINK. CSG has been showcasing its powerful drafting plug-in for Pro/ENGINEER at PTC/USER events in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Unlike other 2D systems, which sit uncomfortably with their Pro/ENGINEER strategy, STHENO/PRO offers PTC customers demonstrable rewards, significantly broadening design options. In addition to seamless, bi-directional data exchange, and the ability to work interoperably in real time with Pro/ENGINEER, STHENO/PRO delivers advanced data management support for Pro/INTRALINK and Windchill, including storage of design attributes, parts and title block information. Easy import and export of customer and supplier data is further augmented by the powerful STHENO/IMAGE raster module - invaluable for integrating raster backdrops and reviving legacy 2D data. STHENO/PROs highly intelligent professional-grade drafting tools (including smart editing, 2D modelling, and assembly management) complete this time-saving productivity powerhouse. PTC and CSG have enjoyed a very successful, close and collaborative partnership for many years now, said Carsten Hochmuth, Ph.D., Director of PTC Software and Technology Partner Programs. We especially value the companys commitment to PTC/USER. CSG has attended all the major world events in support of PTC solutions and we look forward to seeing the team again soon. Detlev Kohley thanked PTC, as well as the PTC/USER organization, and praised the dedication and technical excellence of his colleagues back home. Most importantly, Id like to thank the users themselves, he continued. At CSG, we come from a strong engineering background, and our close relationship with customers and users, as well as with PTC, is key to the success of our product suites. That is why we spend as much time as possible speaking to end users: it is your input and enthusiasm which drives our development effort; your success stories which drive our success. About CAD Schroer CAD Schroer (CSG) is a global software development company and engineering solutions provider, headquartered in Moers, near Duesseldorf, Germany.
