International Vero Sales Force Meets for SMIRTware Training

BINGHAM FARMS, MI: November 11, 2005 Vero International, a leading supplier of CAD/CAM software for the mold and die sector, recently completed a three-day SMIRTware software training session for its international sales force in Southfield, MI. Vero previously acquired SMIRTware, Inc., a software firm that offers powerful viewing software designed explicitly for the die build stamping industry. SMIRTware products provide a highly productive approach to building large metal stamping dies in a way that empowers shop floor personnel to construct these complex tools with greater speed and accuracy. SMIRTware product range includes SMIRTDieNC, a highly intuitive CAM package and SMIRTDieShop, an excellent interpretative and visualization tool for importing CATIA, UG, and I-DEAS CAD design models.

Twenty-two Vero sales persons attended the meetings from North America, Europe, and Asia. Giovanni Opimitti, Vero President, says, The meetings were intended to provide the Vero International sales force with an insight into how SMIRTware software products are used, how they are sold, and companies that can benefit from their implementation. We also provided information about Veros plans for SMIRTware in the future and its links to our flagship VISI-Series and Machining STRATEGIST software products.

Our sessions were very successful. The attendees were quite interested in learning about our new software offerings and eager to understand how best to sell and market the additional toolset. As a result, we estimate that there is the potential for substantial growth for SMIRTware products among the auto makers and tier one suppliers in North America, Europe, and Asia.

SMIRTware tools replace the traditional design drawings that are manually produced for build dies. Drawings contain complete stock lists, heat treat specifications, rough and finish casting markers, balloons for detail numbers, ordinate dimensions to base of dies, and other data. In contrast, the implementation of SMIRTware software eliminates the necessity to generate manual, time-consuming, and error-prone drawings. Among many worldwide customers, SMIRTware is in use at Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Volvo, and Fiat.
