PLANO, Texas, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced Adige Sala, S.p.A., Italy, has licensed Parasolid(R) software and D-Cubed 2D DCM and 3D DCM components for developing the next generation of its Computer- Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for its laser tube cutting systems.

Parasolid(R) will provide the geometric modeling foundation for Adige Sala's specialized application for designing and preparing tubular parts for manufacture using the company's advanced Lasertube cutting machines. D-Cubed 2D DCM and 3D DCM components will deliver constraint-based part and assembly modeling capabilities to accelerate the design and revision of the parts to be manufactured.
