THEOREM STREAMLINES RED BULL RACING’S DESIGNS ON FORMULA 1 CHAMPIONSHIP
Fradley Park, Staffordshire, UK - 3 August 2005 -- The speed and accuracy of Theorem Solutions’ CAD data translation technology will play a central role in Red Bull Racing’s success during next year’s Formula 1 season. The British-based Grand Prix team has taken the decision to power its cars with Ferrari engines from 2006 and will use Theorem’s CADverter to translate engine data supplied by the Italian Scuderia in Pro/E format into Unigraphics NX, Red Bull Racing’s preferred standard design system. Commenting on CADverter’s selection, Theorem’s General Manager, Keith Jeacock said: “Formula 1 is the ultimate test of right-first-time engineering. It is an industry where the smallest detail can make the difference between winners and ‘also rans’. Fast and accurate translation of information between these two leading CAD systems will be essential if Red Bull Racing is to ensure the timely availability of engine design data in the format it requires. “We are delighted to have the capabilities of our data exchange technology selected by such a high profile customer and look forward to sharing in the team’s success over the coming months.” About Theorem Solutions Theorem Solutions is recognised as one of the world’s leaders in CAD/CAM product data exchange, offering application programs for Direct Database conversion and for International Standards-based conversion methods (STEP). The Theorem CADverter family is the widest range of direct CAD translators available from any single source. In addition to CADverter, it includes CADviewer, Data eXchange Navigator (DXN) and CADhealer, all delivering improved communications and interoperability between CAD systems.
