NCS Formally Invites CAD Vendors to Use NCS in Software
New website launched with a range of new CAD standards resources
Alexandria, VA, 14 July 2005 -- The National CAD Standards
Organisation announces the re-launching of the National CAD Standard's
website, www.nationalcadstandard.org. New features include:
- Press Releases
- List of NCS Adopters
- NCS Implementation Tips
- Sample Pages of the current version, 3.1
- Sample NCS PowerPoint Presentation (Updated for version 3.1)
In addition, the AIA, CSI, and NIBS posted a joint press release
today inviting software vendors to license the National CAD Standard.
Though the three organizations have worked to implement the NCS through
CAD software since the NCS's inception, this formal invitation marks an
important step to promote universal adoption and easier use of the
National CAD Standard. The formal invitation is avaliable online at http://www.nationalcadstandard.org/invitation.html
Finally, the revision cycle for the next version of the National CAD
Standard is about to begin. Anyone who owns a copy of the NCS is
eligible to join the NCS Project Committee, the body that oversees
changes to the standard. More information is avaliable on the
