CCE Announces Release of CAT5Edge - CATIA V5 to Solid Edge Direct Translator

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI - July 8, 2005 - CCE, a leading provider of CAD/CAM Engineering Services & Data Translation Products, announced today the release of CAT5Edge - CATIA V5 to Solid Edge Direct Translator.

CAT5Edge is integrated within Solid Edge and allows direct import of native CATIA V5 format files from within Solid Edge. CAT5Edge is a "must have" tool for all Solid Edge users, who need to work with CATIA V5 data. CAT5Edge lets Solid Edge users read NATIVE CATIA V5 files, dramatically reducing the complexity of data transfer between the two systems. CAT5Edge is available with both Node-Locked and Floating Licensing options.

CAT5Edge offers the following features and benefits: 

• Supports import of CATIA V5 Release 6 to 14 part (*.CATPart) and assembly (*.CATProduct) files in Solid Edge V15 & V16. 
• Does not require CATIA V5 license or software to operate.
• Runs within Solid Edge with the same look and feel as other Solid Edge plug-ins. 
• Supports transfer of Solid and Sheet bodies. 
• Supports translation of CATIA V5 colors into Solid Edge.
