Leica Geosystems Hires Rina Molari-Korgel as Metrology Specialist and Technical Key Account Representative

Norcross, GA � June 27, 2005 � The Metrology Division of Leica Geosystems announced today Rina Molari-Korgel has been hired for the position of Metrology Specialist and Technical Key Account Representative. Ms. Molari-Korgel has more than twenty-one years of industrial metrology experience, and specializes in high-precision, three-dimensional data acquisition and analysis for inspection and measurement applications in manufacturing. Her responsibilities include supporting Leica customers and recommending metrology solutions to increase efficiency in their quality control and production processes.

Prior to joining Leica, Ms. Molari-Korgel served as a metrology specialist at Lockheed Martin (formerly General Dynamics). She has experienced the full evolution of metrology instruments, such as transits and levels, theodolites (surveying and industrial), photogrammetry, straight-line lasers, portable measuring arms, laser radar systems, and laser trackers. Rina graduated from California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying and Photogrammetry.

Molari-Korgel has a high level of expertise applying measurement equipment to the many aspects of aerospace manufacturing and validation, including assembly tool verification, shop floor measurements for trouble-shooting assembly problems, and validating machine performance. Molari-Korgel also has vast experience in performing aircraft measurements for on-board sensor position and orientation, measuring space launch vehicles for straightness and payload attach geometries, and other special measurement tasks for Lockheed Martin�s F-16, F-22, and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Programs.

Ms. Molari-Korgel is the 2005 Chairman for the CMSC (Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference), which is a convergence of users, researchers, academia, and manufacturers of industrial measurement hardware and software. CMSC is considered the premier event of the metrology industry in the United States. Molari-Korgel has been involved with the CMSC Society since its inception in 1984, and has held an appointed position on the Executive Committee since 1995.
