CAD Schroer’s New Customer Day Concept a Clear Winner

Moers, Velen and Bad Windsheim, Germany, June 2005 – CAD Schroer GmbH (CSG), the engineering solutions provider known for its Medusa4™ and Stheno/pro™ software suites, recently highlighted its commitment to customers with a series of 1-day events in Germany, which form part of a new European “road show” format. The events in Velen and Bad Windsheim, packed with information all around CSG and its suites of products and services, also focused on customer needs, expectations and feedback.

The new series of focused customer days replaces CSG’s single 2-day event, while offering greater flexibility, and closer contact with customers in both Northern and Southern Germany. “Fewer and fewer organisations can afford to send their staff to two or three-day events. So we’ve learned to make a virtue out of necessity, and literally meet our customers halfway,” explains Michael Schroer, Founding Director of CSG. “Shorter traveling distances, industry-specific information presented in a relevant, compact format, and a beautiful, relaxed environment – the new set-up really resonated with customers, and convinced us that we had made the right decision.”

As well as praising the new event format and proximity, customers were thrilled about the energy and positive outlook which accompanied the road show; there have been plenty of new developments since last year’s user meeting. Looking back over the past twelve months, CSG has been bucking economic trends and counting its successes: the release of Medusa4, a completely overhauled, fourth generation version of the proven PLM solution, met with rave industry reviews for implementing state-of-the art technology and enhanced functionality without compromising on usability or systems flexibility. At the same time, CSG significantly expanded its global presence with new subsidiaries in France and the United Kingdom, as well as new value added resellers in key regions around the globe.

And developments continue with unabated speed. During its road show, CSG has been presenting the latest versions of Medusa4, Stheno/pro and MEDEA, all scheduled for imminent release. The second release of Medusa4 introduces a series of MEDUSA® modules which have recently been adapted to the next generation technology. The CSG team demonstrated a prototype of the latest 3D module, completely reworked to offer greater functionality and slick usability, to a captivated audience at the recent customer days. Stheno/pro, the powerful drafting plug-in for Pro/ENGINEER®, has also seen some exciting new developments. But CSG’s campaign for innovation won’t stop there. Its experts are developing several new add-on modules to further enhance industry-specific applications.

Participant feedback declared the recent customer days a roaring success, and strengthened CSG’s resolve to continue with its current strategy. Both the company and its loyal user base appreciate that outstanding software products, coupled with technical excellence and a passion for customer service, are essential ingredients for long-term business success.
