April 12, 2005 - CADSTAR, Zuken's Windows-based desktop PCB design solution, introduces highly competitive promotional bundles for the Americas, providing essential functionality at reduced prices. In recognition of the unique competitive nature of the EDA market in the Americas, Zuken has improved its value proposition with a Basic and Professional bundle, offering even greater value at more competitive prices.

The CADSTAR Basic product bundle includes the enhanced version of Zuken's desktop PCB Design Suite with a six-layer autorouter, and contains all the necessary tools to design a PCB from concept through to final manufacturing output. The CADSTAR Professional product bundle, targeting high-speed PCB design applications, combines all the features of CADSTAR Basic plus the advanced tools needed for the entire PCB design to manufacturing process.

The *CADSTAR Basic bundle* includes schematics and analog/digital simulation, design and library editor functionality, the ability to create design views to share data with non CADSTAR users, and Gerber file editing. Optional add-ons can also be purchased to complement the bundle, including variant management, 3D editing and viewing, signal integrity simulation, along with Rules-by-Area and High-Speed Routing.

Functionality within the *CADSTAR Professional bundle* includes high-speed delay-constrained automatic multi-pass and interactive placement and routing, that enables the design of multi-layer boards with an unlimited number of pins, and automatic routing of differential pairs while avoiding cross talk. The bundle also includes all essential tools within CADSTAR Basic, along with additional features - 3D design and variant management, EMC checks and Gerber file editing, as standard. Rules-by-Area, and signal integrity verification tools are also available as optional add-ons.

Maintenance for one year is supplied free of charge for both the Professional and Basic bundles, and includes the Exchange Library, an on-line parts library with 130,000+ components.
