SPIRIT 12 Includes New Version of LightWorks and Is LWA-Enabled for AEC
SOFTTECH's SPIRIT, created using the LightWorks GUI Framework, provides "boundless possibilities."
SHEFFIELD, UK (30 March 2005) - LightWork Design, the world's leading supplier of rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software, today announced that the latest release of Fresco for SPIRIT version 12 from SOFTTECH GmbH integrates a new version of the LightWorks rendering toolkit. In addition, SPIRIT is now LWA-Enabled giving users access to a wide range of real-world materials and other plug-ins available for download from www.lightworks-user.com.
The LWA-Enabled functionality within SPIRIT enables users to extend the power of their software by adding accurate, real-world elements - including materials, colours and other visual elements - to their visualizations.
Michael Muens, Product Manager at SOFTTECH commented, "LightWorks has added a lot of value to our latest SPIRIT 12 version. The first responses we have received from our users already highlight the very high output-quality, the dramatic improvements in illuminating scenes and the almost boundless possibilities in describing materials, surfaces and attributes. Using the LightWorks GUI Framework made it really easy for our developers to make SPIRIT LWA-Enabled and we are delighted with the finished software."
"We are pleased to have been able to help SOFTTECH with their latest release and we believe SPIRIT now provides users with even greater design opportunities", said Clive Davies, Partner Program Manager at LightWork Design. He added, "the additional attraction for users is that SPIRIT is LWA-Enabled giving them access to the wide range of material archives which are available from the LightWorks-User website."
A wide range of architectural-related LWA files are downloadable from www. Lightworks-user.com for use within SPIRIT. These include the recently released Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams paint libraries, Avonite work surfaces, Mold-Tech and Roehlen materials for panelling, industry-standard RAL colours, as well as ranges of bricks, carpets, flooring and glazing.
