AutoCAD 2006 Announced

March 15, 2005 -- Autodesk today released information on new versions of more than 25 products.

The new product releases include:

• Autodesk Inventor 10 (Mechanical Engineering)
• Autodesk Civil 3D 2006 (Civil Engineering)
• Autodesk Map 3D 2006 (GIS)
• Autodesk Revit Building 8 (AEC)
• AutoCAD 2006 (CAD)
• Autodesk(R) Buzzsaw(R) (online service)
• Autodesk(R) DWF(TM) Composer and DWF(TM) Viewer (portable drawing document format tools)

Autodesk says that more than 30 members of its Autodesk Developer Network are already shipping products or add-ons that are compatible with AutoCAD 2006. This claim was supported in a barrage of simultaneous Autodesk news announcements, each detailing a developer announcing support for AutoCAD 2006.

No actual shipping dates for the products and support announced by Autodesk or Developer Network members have yet been indicated.
