Bentley Announces Record Year for AutoPLANT Product Line
Houston - daratechPLANT2005 - January 24, 2005 - Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced that 2004 was a record year for AutoPLANT, including software sales, services sales, and recurring revenue.
"We believe that the increasing popularity of AutoPLANT has all to do with our continuing investment in the development and marketing of these AutoCAD-based solutions," said Dr. Jeff Hollings, senior vice president, Bentley Plant. "In 2005, we remain resolved to keeping AutoPLANT in its lead technical and market position. And we remain committed to supporting the DGN and DWG de facto standards and interoperability among all critical systems in our industry."
This growth in AutoPLANT revenues was across multiple industry segments, led by the upstream oil and gas industries. In the general owner-operator market, according to Daratech's just-released findings, Bentley leads all other providers in software and services sales to owner-operators for plant creation. Other notable segments for AutoPLANT included mining and light industries, food, and water and wastewater.
Bentley's recent acquisition of IFS' CAD applications, which are AutoCAD-based solutions, also demonstrates its commitment to the AutoCAD user community. Bentley is offering users a planned migration from IFS CAD to AutoPLANT.
