Dublin, Ireland/Moscow, Russia - 7 December, 2004 -- ParallelGraphics, a leader in the field of 3D-based graphical data management solutions, today announced the signing of an exclusive distributorship agreement with Sumitrade to promote its Virtual Manuals solutions in the Japanese market. ParallelGraphics develops interactive 3D-powered simulations used by some of the world's best-known manufacturing companies in their maintenance and training support activities.

Sumitrade, as ParallelGraphics' partner in Japan, will market, sell and support the whole range of Virtual Manuals related products and services. The Virtual Manuals Enterprise Platform from ParallelGraphics is an open standard solution that enables companies to combine their existing 3D CAD and PDM (Product Data Management) data with their operating, procedural and training manuals to automatically generate Web-deliverable interactive 3D content. The Virtual Manuals solution includes custom 3D simulations development, maintenance guides, training and IPC (Interactive Parts Catalogs) authoring tools.

"Our technology has been adopted by a number of large manufacturing companies in Europe and the US but we have yet to specifically target the large Japanese market for our Virtual Manuals product. With Sumitrade as our exclusive distributor, we can finally introduce our top-level solutions to the world's leading high-tech market," said George Pachikov, CEO, ParallelGraphics.

Since early 1980's there has been a growing demand in the Japanese IT market for technologies related to spatial data processing and 3D-design. Sumitrade will target this market with the range of products and solutions from ParallelGraphics.

"ParallelGraphics' products have a variety of potential applications in the Japanese market. To date the knowledge and utilization of VRML technology in Japan has been limited to a few educational institutions and municipal organizations where VRML was primarily used as an effective representational technology. We believe that our combined efforts will significantly help in introducing both 3D/VRML technology and ParallelGraphics' VM solution to a wider number of Japanese companies," said Keiji Takigawa, deputy director, Sumitrade.
