AVEVA WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FROM DAEWOO SHIPBUILDING

Daewoo project successfully implemented six months ahead of schedule

November 30, 2004 -- Cambridge, England -- AVEVA (LSE:AVV), the IT solution provider to the marine, process and power industries, has been awarded a top accolade from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. (DSME). AVEVA was presented with a 'Plaque of Appreciation' in recognition of the successful completion of the DSME CAD Unification project and for providing exceptional services over the last three years. The award recognised AVEVA's ability to understand the true nature of a partnership, support complex and challenging project goals and meet aggressive deadlines.

On receipt of the award at the closing of the CAD Unification project, Bruce Douglas, Marine Business Development Manager at AVEVA commented: "Our business has been built upon delivering superior engineering IT solutions and first-class customer service. The teams at Daewoo and AVEVA have worked exceptionally hard to enhance operational efficiencies and deliver the project on budget."

DSME's Cad Unification Project has led to a full implementation of the entire Tribon M3 system, the leading technology system for the shipbuilding industry. All new commercial projects and several offshore projects are now being designed completely in Tribon M3 for both hull and outfitting.

The Tribon shipbuilding system is installed at more than 360 sites in over 40 countries in Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America.
