SHEFFIELD, UK (24 November 2004) - LightWork Design, the world's leading supplier of rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software, today announced the release of an extensive range of Sherwin-Williams material libraries in LWA format for use in LightWorks-based rendering applications. These new material libraries give users the power to accurately select, render and specify from the ranges of paints available from Sherwin-Williams, and are downloadable in the LightWorks Archive (LWA) format from www. Lightworks-user.com.

Sherwin-Williams is the largest producer of paints and coatings in the United States. The release of these LWAs, for accurately visualizing Sherwin-Williams paint ranges, has been eagerly awaited by users who want to introduce an extra degree of accuracy and realism into their design work. These LightWorks materials will not only allow the accurate visualization of the actual paint colour, but also the glossiness and reflectivity of the real paint ranges and so will become invaluable to architectural designers.

Sheri Thompson, Director, Color Marketing and Design for Sherwin- Williams remarks; "We are pleased to have worked closely with LightWork Design to release our color palette and paint product information in LWA format. This release means that even more designers will have the ability to specify Sherwin-Williams colors and paints within their design work, making their images look even more accurate and realistic."

Woll Newall, LightWorks Product Manager, added; "This is a very important LWA release for LightWork Design as it expands the range of real-world materials that we can offer to users of LightWorks-based applications. Many users have been requesting these materials and so we are delighted to be able to provide the Sherwin-Williams range in LWA format for them."

The LWA format is a secure digital format, for use in LWA-Enabled applications, which allows manufacturers and material suppliers to accurately encode the visual and physical characteristics of their products, which enables designers to accurately select, visualize and specify these products during the design, modelling and styling processes.
