SPICER Releases New 7.5 Versions of Imagenation? And Image a.X

New CAD format additions and Enhanced PDF option provide robust support for popular engineering and office formats

KITCHENER, ON, November 22, 2004 - Spicer Corporation, a leading provider of universal viewing solutions for ECM, PLM, and reprographics applications, announces Imagenation 7.5 and Image a.X 7.5, the newest releases in its Universal Viewing suite.

Release 7.5 increases the strength of Spicer's mechanical design drawing capabilities with the addition of DWG 2005, Autodesk Inventor 3D, Microstation v8 2004, and JT format support. These widely used formats expand on an already extensive list of over 200 supported file formats.

In addition, the new Enhanced PDF Add-on provides a seamless integration of Adobe technology, offering improved font support for highly accurate PDF rendering and options for smoothing text, line art, and images. The Add-on is available as a purchase option to most Imagenation and Image a.X editions.

Additional new features in this release include:

Color management for printing - set printer profiles to ensure colors remain true in your printed output.

Engineering scan enhancements - multipage support for Contex scanners, newly supported scanners Xerox 6030/6050, and updated scanning toolkit and drivers.

Print preview functionality - see how your document will look when printed.

A new optimized and compressed version of SMF (Spicer Multipage Format).

Imagenation License Manager updates - multiple license files, add or remove seats in a license file, define port information, Alias names for license files.
