Pembroke, NH - November 17, 2004 - Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. recently granted 200 seats of KeyCreator software to the University of Southern Maine. As part of the 8 million dollar expansion of the University's School of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology, Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. & Kubotek USA are proud to provide the school the latest in Creation Engineering software; KeyCreator. This donation, valued at over $1.6M in commercial dollars, will assist the school as they put the finishing touches on the expansion of a new state of the art facility in Gorham, ME.

"We have had a long partnership with the excellent Industrial Technology Programs at USM and are thrilled, in conjunction with Kubotek USA, to provide them the latest Creation Engineering software for students and faculty. As they seek to expand their offerings to include Mechanical Engineering degrees, we know the students at USM will now be using the best software for engineering available today", said Jeff Hapgood, General Manager of Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. When asked about the grant, Andy Anderson, Associate Dean, stated, "We have been a fan of KeyCreator and its predecessor products {CADKEY} since their introduction. We continue to see the value and promise of working with three-dimensional computer aided design emerge with each new release of the software product. We also appreciate the ease to which students at many levels can create 3D models."

As a commitment to expanding the field of qualified teachers in Technology Education in Maine and beyond, Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. will also provide software grants to each student graduating as an instructor from the Technology Education program at USM. "We look forward to working closely with Greg Bazinet, Director of External Programs at USM, in developing offerings that generate excitement for the Tech Ed program at USM by working with our secondary school customers and getting students excited about a career in teaching Technology Education," adds Hapgood.
