Portland – October 19, 2004 - The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) ( http://www.intellicad.org/) released the IntelliCAD 5 release to its commercial members today, a major update of its IntelliCAD® Technology.

Members can now officially release their products based on the IntelliCAD 5 technology, and a host of IntelliCAD technology applications will be forthcoming to the CAD vertical application market.

In addition to supporting the DWG format from 2005 back to 2.5, the ITC has also added layout tabs, line widths, draw order, improved solid modeling, audit and recovery of damaged drawings. The ITC has spent considerable resources ensuring the product performs at a level to support the end user’s day to day production needs.

Plotting has been improved, now allowing you to export to SVG, and additional features have been added including support for i-drop, new system variables, improved documentation, a customizable status bar, new toolbars and improvements to the trim, extend, and offset commands.

“IntelliCAD 5 is the culmination of many months of hard work by the members and our own internal developers, resulting in the most stable, fastest, and most complete IntelliCAD technology to date”, said Scott Hucke, Operations Manager of the ITC. “The ITC is pleased we can offer the membership and their end-users a true alternative to high priced CAD systems”

About the IntelliCAD Technology

The ITC licenses the IntelliCAD technology to its Commercial Members, who in turn provide end user sales and support. Commercial Members are free to offer options such as VBA, Rendering, ACIS Solid Modeling, Raster Image Display, etc., and add their own applications.
