CAMBRIDGE, England- 14th October 2004 -- Softcover International, the publisher of Scan2CAD, a low cost professional raster to vector converter, has announced that the Boeing Company of Huntington Beach, California, has purchased additional licences of Scan2CAD v7 Pro while upgrading existing seats. This sale more than doubles the number of Scan2CAD v7 Pro's installed at Boeing NASA Systems and makes them the largest user site in the USA.

Scan2CAD v7 Pro automatically converts scanned paper drawings (rasters) into editable CAD (vector) files. Boeing NASA Systems use Scan2CAD v7 Pro to convert their many old, often fairly poor quality, large paper drawings of electrical wiring installations into a vector DXF file for export to and editing in CATIA.

Full information, tutorial videos, Hints and Tips in a PDF format and a working evaluation copy of Scan2CAD v7 can be downloaded from www.softcover.com

Scan2CAD is supplied on CD with a 300+ page manual. Technical support is free.

Softcover's marketing director, Steve Hannath, said "After evaluating various products Boeing NASA Systems has chosen Scan2CAD v7 Pro for its straightforward strengths and price and performance benefits. Our product development is ongoing and driven by user requests. Boeing requested that we add the ability to select and vectorize all raster entities within multiple user-defined polygonal areas. This was added to v7.2 which is free to v7 users. We will do the same for any user with a reasonable and practical request".
