Capture of Model Attribute and Metadata Made Simple with Elysium's Advanced CAD Translation Technology

SOUTHFIELD, MI., September 28, 2004 - Elysium Inc., a leading global provider of multi-CAD enabling software, today announced the release of CADpdm. This new product provides the necessary integration for CAD data management in multi-CAD environments and the SMARTEAM PDM system.

This new release in the CADpdm family extends the product line beyond the Engineering application announced with Ford last month. "Our CADpdm product is unique in that it retains the "intelligence" of 3D design data as it feeds into the pdm system," said Ken Tashiro, president of Elysium. "CADpdm is an exceptional product the offers users defined attributes and customization capabilities."

CADpdm allows seamless integration of 3D CAD data into SMARTEAM environments, allowing the ability to manage all product design and attribute data, including 3D geometry and product data intelligence.

"We're excited to extend our CADpdm product line to include additional PDM vendors. We are continuing to build on our CAD knowledge base and our understanding of the role of data management and data exchange in the product development process," said Tashiro.

This development of CADpdm is part of Elysium's goal to continually extend its expertise in the area of data exchange, growing from 3D geometry into product structure, feature-based modeling and PDM-controlled data exchange.
