Intergraph CEO, Halsey Wise, to Lead Discussions on Homeland Security at Spatial Tech 2004 Conference

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Sept. 15, 2004 - Intergraph <NASDAQ: INGR> Mapping and Geospatial Solutions today announced R. Halsey Wise, President and CEO of Intergraph Corporation, will lead an opening-day panel discussion on Monday, Sept. 27 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) at the Spatial Technologies Industry Association's (STIA) national policy symposium and exhibition, Spatial Tech 2004, held in Orlando, FL. The program will present issues of critical importance to the future of the geospatial technology industry and the nation.
Wise will moderate a panel entitled "The Homeland Security Enterprise: Achieving Shared Situational Awareness Across Federal, State, and Local Government and Private Sector Jurisdictions." Wise and the panel will examine the Homeland Security Department's various missions of preparedness and response. Other panelists include Ms. Maureen Baginski, Executive Assistant Director of FBI Intelligence, Department of Justice; Dr. Richard Falkenrath, Visiting Fellow, The Brookings Institute (formerly Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Homeland Security Advisor, The White House); Mr. Peter Verga, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Homeland Defense, U.S. Department of Defense; and Dr. Ned Mamula, Geospatial Intelligence Analyst, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
In addition, Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions President, Preetha Pulusani, will present Intergraph's vision on what is needed to achieve an optimal level of national geospatial preparedness in the panel discussion, "The Path Ahead: Achieving Homeland Security through National Geospatial Preparedness."
