HUNTSVILLE, Ala., May 24, 2004 -- At the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) 2004 annual conference in Denver, Colorado, today through May 27, Intergraph <NASDAQ: INGR> Mapping and Geospatial Solutions is demonstrating its suite of enhanced earth imaging solutions, which provide end-to-end photogrammetric production capabilities (booth #902). Also today, Intergraph announced the formation of its Earth Imaging Solutions Center (EISC) to consolidate global pre- and post-sales support for the complete Z/I Imaging product line. The support center, along with the latest product releases showcased at ASPRS, emphasize Intergraph's focus on delivering innovative solutions that increase customer productivity in photogrammetric workflows as well as preserve data precision and accuracy.

Data precision and accuracy are being highlighted in demonstrations of a completely digital enterprise production workflow that centers around customer data of the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Mile High Stadium acquired using the Z/I Imaging Digital Mapping Camera (DMC(R)). The DMC captures imagery with proven ground resolutions up to 1 1/2 inchs per pixel. Imagery acquired with the DMC maintains its initial high geometric and radiometric quality throughout each stage of the project life cyle - mission planning, sensor management, photogrammetric production and client/server image management, storage and distribution.

During the show, attendees will see Intergraph's latest enhancements of its earth imaging systems that range from acquisition, to product generation, to distribution for the development of base maps, digital terrain models and orthophotos. Enhancements on display include:

- - More productive digitizing and improved ease of use with the Z/I Mouse technology preview. The new mouse, an industry-first, combines a force stick and optical thumb wheel for 3D input and is delivered with the newly redesigned ImageStation specialized workstation.

- - Streamlined photogrammetric production processes with new software capabilities such as true orthophoto generation, stereo viewing capability to include GIS data collection, faster online automatic triangulation and blockwise DTM creation.

- - Added flexibility and sturdiness for the DMC with a new pressure- and temperature-tested flight management storage system in a mini-tower configuration and a new ruggedized laptop system with solid-state disk drive to manage airborne systems.

- - Dramatic reductions in photogrammetric processes through distributed processing for batch jobs and extremely high throughput speeds through distributed processing available with TerraShare.

- - More realistic color imagery generated from scanned negatives resulting from new color management software incorporated in the PhotoScan scanner.

New Solution Center Focuses on Customer Productivity The new Earth Imaging Solutions Center will operate through three regional locations in Germany, the United States and Asia Pacific. The Center will ensure consistent, quality service for customers and enable Intergraph to provide worldwide rapid response to address either technical or business-related issues through a global network of experts and technical resources.

Intergraph Experts Present Technology Updates at ASPRS In addition to exhibit displays, Intergraph management and technical experts are presenting technology briefings and photogrammetric processes updates as part of the ASPRS program agenda. These presentations include:

- - "Increasing Reliability of Automatic Aerial Triangulation by Removing Shadow Points," by Mostafa Madani, PhD., Chief Photogrammetrist and Yandong Wang, Software Consultant on Wednesday, 1:30 - 2:50 PM

- - "Digital Aerial Mapping Cameras - Workflow and Data Handling," by Klaus Neumann, Product Manager, Thursday, 1:00 - 2:20 PM

- - "Georeferencing the DMC Images - Data Flow and Performance Analysis," by Mostafa Modani, and technology partner, Applanix, Thursday 2:30 - 3:50 PM

- - "Automatic Mosaic Smart Seam Generation," by Roy McCleese, Software Consultant, on Tuesday 4:00 - 5:00 PM

- - "Inferring Missing Road Segments by Context in Automatic Road Extraction," by Yandong Wang on Thursday 1:00 - 2:00

In conjunction with ASPRS, Intergraph held a pre-show Camera conference for industry executives for Photogrammetry, mapping and flight operations. The event updated attendees on advances in digital camera technology and strategies for using digital technology through customer presentations and Intergraph and partner vendor discussions. Technology directions were also discussed with Intergraph users during a company-hosted user group meeting.
