Global Supply Chain Solution Leader Deploys OneSpace.net for Distributed Product Development

FORT COLLINS, Colo., and SINDELFINGEN, Germany - May 24, 2004 - CoCreate Software, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative product development software, announced today that Intermec Technologies, a global supply chain leader, has selected CoCreate's OneSpace.net and is scaling to deploy the collaboration software worldwide.

Intermec is a leader in global supply chain solutions and in the development, manufacture, and integration of wired and wireless automated data collection, RFID, mobile computing systems, bar code printers, and label media. The company will deploy OneSpace.net in European and United States facilities. Immediate plans include using OneSpace.net to connect dispersed project teams of as many as 50 team members each. Team members from electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial design, manufacturing and external supply chain partners will begin using OneSpace.net immediately.

Intermec sought a better way to connect its widespread teams and communicate complex project information. OneSpace.net provided a common data repository for tracking and organizing project data, automatic change notification, and a specialized application-sharing tool.

"As product development has evolved to include multi-site locations and worldwide partners, we've needed more key collaborative functionalities, and OneSpace.net provides everything we need," said Ryan White, Intermec's mechanical engineering manager.

White said that Intermec is especially pleased with the convenience of initiating online meetings. "We can fire up an online meeting in seconds now," he said. "Our distributed teams are able to approach OneSpace.net meetings just like stopping by the desk of a local team member to ask a quick question."

Brad McDermott, Intermec's CAD administrator said that the decision to roll out OneSpace.net worldwide was an easy one. "We're getting a great value," he said. "In fact, the hardware, software and consulting costs to support our complete rollout cost us less than a single license of some of the massive enterprise products. And unlike those solutions, OneSpace.net was a pleasure to deploy. Adding OneSpace.net on top of our Microsoft framework felt like following a cookbook recipe that always comes out right."
