Graphisoft Appoints Don Henrich Vice President and General Manager of Graphisoft US
NEWTON, Mass. And BUDAPEST, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Graphisoft(R), creator of ArchiCAD(R) and the Virtual Building model, today announced the appointment of Donald R. Henrich II to vice president and general manager of Graphisoft US, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Graphisoft N.V. In this role, Henrich will be the principal executive in charge of Graphisoft's North American operations, based in Newton, Mass. Henrich comes to Graphisoft from firstRain, Inc., where he ran sales, services and marketing for this venture-funded startup. His background in the CAD industry includes positions at Computervision and Adra Systems. He went on to co-found MatrixOne, a leader in the PLM market, and then began a successful career at Parametric Technology Corporation. At PTC, Henrich lived and worked internationally for five years. He was responsible for European operations based in Paris and was then promoted to vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific, where he drove the development of PTC's 500-person division based in Tokyo. Henrich also served as senior vice president of marketing. In this role, he led a 300-person marketing team and was the key contact for more than 100 partners and channel members worldwide. "Don's success in this industry and his years of experience in building and managing winning sales and support teams make him a strong addition to senior management at Graphisoft," said Mark Sawyer, vice president of worldwide field operations, Graphisoft. Henrich holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and is participating in the Northeastern University MBA program. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Board of Directors of Distributed Bits, Software Emancipation, and WebFS, and frequently presents at technology conferences and major universities.
