E-Technikon Releases AutoCAD 2D Overview Tutorial

Cape Town - April 16, 2004 - E-Technikon has just released their first downloadable tutorial/course for absolute beginner AutoCAD users. The course takes an unusual approach in that the student is introduced to both very simple concepts and quite advanced methods all within a very short course. 

The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with a general understanding of AutoCAD from beginning with a blank page, right through to plotting out the completed, dimensioned drawing in the shortest possible time. A series of actual drawing files are included to allow the student to pick up the thread at different stages.

The course takes the form of a step-by-step practical tutorial interspersed with comments and teachings, and goes through the following stages:

• Start on a blank page
• Page setup
• Simple drafting commands and tools
• Object snaps
• Complex drafting commands and tools
• Layers
• Text
• Model space/Paper space
• Dimensioning and finally Plotting

Although written for AutoCAD Release 2002, it can equally well be used by students who have AutoCAD 2002LT, 2000, 2000LT, 2000i, 2000iLT, or 2004.

This package contains a 131-Page book illustrated with over 350 Screenshots and drawings in the form of a PDF (Portable Document Format) document as well as 15 AutoCAD files containing the drawing at various stages.
