Broad-Based Design and Manufacturing Event Returns to New York

Co-located Shows Poised for Success in the Big Apple

LOS ANGELES, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Show organizer Canon Communications LLC is again featuring a lineup of co-located design, manufacturing, plastics processing, and packaging shows in the largest event of its kind on the East Coast. Scheduled for June 15-17 in New York's Javits Convention Center, it consists of Medical Design & Manufacturing(R) (MD&M) East, EastPack(R), PLASTEC(R) East, Atlantic Design & Manufacturing(R), and the Ingredients Expo(TM). 1,750 exhibiting companies and 32,000 buyers are expected to participate.

MD&M East features companies in contract manufacturing, component fabrication, adhesives, electronics, assembly, motion control, testing equipment, IV components, and a host of other categories. EastPack showcases the latest in machinery and machinery Components, closures, containers, materials, and services.

Atlantic Design & Manufacturing includes leaders in CAD/CAM/PDM, contract manufacturing, enterprise technology, linear actuators, optical sensing, sensors, and transducers. PLASTEC West covers every aspect of plastics processing, including materials, molds and mold components, primary processing machinery, auxiliary equipment, and contract services. New for 2004 is a U.S. Mold Builders Pavilion sponsored by the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA).

Ingredients Expo is the leading show for the Northeast's food, beverage, cosmetics/personal care, nutraceutical, supplement, and functional foods manufacturers. It showcases ingredients and raw materials, process and manufacturing equipment and services, packaging materials and services, and testing and inspection equipment services.

In addition to the expositions, the co-located event will offer 15 conference sessions -- FDA Update, Practical Software Validation, Lean Manufacturing: A Business Strategy to Increase Revenues and Improve Profitability, Medical Package Design, Packaging Validation and Compliance, ISO 13485: Do You Understand It?
