IMSI Announces New CADSymbols CD

30 Million 2D/3D Standard Mechanical, Architectural, Electronic and Electrical Parts and Symbol Variations on One CD

NOVATO, Calif., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IMSI(R) (BULLETIN BOARD: IMSI) , a leading developer of visual content, design, and graphics software, today announced its new CADSymbols(R) CD allowing drag and drop CAD symbol functionality for most major CAD programs.

"We believe this is one of the most extensive CD collections of standard parts and symbols available today containing over 30 million symbol drawings and models in 2D view and freely revolving 3D models," stated Bob Mayer Executive Vice President of the Precision Design Division. Symbols can either be downloaded from the CD in an industry standard for mat, such as DXF, DWG, SAT, STEP, IGES, VDAFS, BMP, JPG, or VRML. The symbols can be searched for by standard such as: DIN, ASME, ANSI, ISO, DAST, and VDE making it easy to find the right symbol from the 30 million combinations available. In addition, the CADSymbols(R) CD supports direct interfaces to several major CAD programs, including:
