Roland Forms New 3D & Engraving Sales Division

Irvine, CA, January 22, 2004 In response to growing demand for 3D and engraving products, Roland DGA Corporation has formed a new sales group consisting of Gerald Hiller, Matt Owens and David Olson. In addition to selling devices, they will develop education modules that make it easier to teach problem solving and creativity.

"Headed up by Gerald Hiller, this new sales group has years of experience with rotary technologies and a track record of sales success," said David Goward, Roland DGA VP of Sales & Marketing. "I firmly believe they will help our dealer network exceed sales projections in 2004 and beyond."

Hiller becomes the Roland DGA Sales Manager, 3D & Engraving Products. He will oversee all 3D and engraving sales operations in North and South America. Hiller joined Roland in 1998 and his most recent position was Sales Manager, AT Solutions Group. Hiller earned his BA from University of California Irvine in 1989 and will complete his MBA in the spring of 2004.

Owens becomes the new Sales Engineer, Engraving Products. Reporting directly to Hiller, he will manage all engraving sales and provide support for dealers and distributors. Owens joined Roland in 1996 as a tech support representative and quickly worked his way up through the ranks. Most recently, Owens served as Product Manager, Engraving Products.

Olson, Roland's Senior Sales Consultant for 3D products, will continue to expand dealer channels for Roland SRP (Subtractive Rapid Prototyping) and Reverse Modeling products and develop additional industry partnerships. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University with an emphasis in dynamics, shock and vibration analysis. Olson also received his MBA at George Washington University.
