Cadconsultancy Announce Implementation Services for CPIC and AEC (UK)

London, UK, 13 May 2003 -- Following this month's releases of the Construction Production Information Code (CPIC) and AEC (UK) CAD Standards v2.0, Cadconsultancy have today announced the launch of a new technical support service for companies interested in implementing the guidelines outlined in these documents.

Nigel Davies, Senior Consultant and CPIC committee member acted as adviser to authors of the Construction Production Information Code. At the RIBA launch of this new publication he commented:

"This document provides a valuable road map for Construction industry professionals to be able to take advantage of the existing investment in CAD data so that it becomes much more than a digital drawing board. But in order to gain the most from their data, practices will need to be able to communicate openly as part of an integrated design team. "

Responding to requests from clients, Nigel and his colleague Lynne Taylor are now offering a service to architects and engineers to provide cost effective implementations of CPIC and AEC (UK) on any CAD system, specifically tailored to individual workflow and process requirements.

Lynne Taylor explains, " Clients understand the value of file management and co-ordination guidelines, document and data issue protocols, along with the CPIC document's unified approach to Uniclass-based layer naming but do not have the time or the internal resources to implement this. By working with us, clients will quickly see a return on their investment as this service is designed to significantly improve office or project processes regardless of the level of CAD standards currently employed.
