TenLinks Launches Website for Free CAD, CAM, CAE Programs

FreeCAD.com provides hundreds of links and downloads to programs ranging from full featured CAD programs to part libraries -- all for free.

NOVATO, California, April 22, 2003 - TenLinks, Inc., the number one CAD, CAM and CAE online media company, announced today the official opening of its latest website, FreeCAD.com. FreeCAD.com, created as a resource for engineers, designers and architects, contains downloads of hundreds of free programs. Many are fully functional programs that rival commercial products costing thousands of dollars. However, finding these programs may not have been easy -- until now!

"We have found there to be a vast amount of riches on the Internet which are just being given away," said Roopinder Tara, president and CEO of TenLinks, Inc. "We maintained a directory of free products on TenLinks.com, which turned out to be one of the most popular directories on the entire site. So we decided to expand on the �free� concept and create an entire website dedicated to free programs."

To qualify for a listing on FreeCAD.com, a program must be available to the general public for free. Programs must be useable for at least 180 days. After 180 days, the vendor has the right to terminate the use of the program. A 180-day period is deemed sufficient to learn the program as well as do productive work. FreeCAD will offer only those programs that are stand-alone, excluding any add-ons.

Cadopia, a distributor and developer of IntelliCAD, has created a special version on IntelliCAD with a 180-day free use period exclusively for FreeCAD.com.
