Release of Altivec Optimized Update to LightWorks 7.0

SHEFFIELD, UK (16 April 2003) - LightWork Design, the world's leading supplier of rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software, has announced the release of an Altivec-optimized update to the Macintosh version of LightWorks 7.0, giving customers and end-users a significant boost in performance. The update is part of LightWork Design's long established commitment to providing high-performance rendering solutions for the Macintosh platform.

The Altivec optimization - built on the new software architecture introduced in LightWorks 7.0 - gives user a performance increase of up to 1.5 times for typical scenes containing soft shadows, ray tracing and procedural shaders.
