Westminster, Colo. And Darmstadt, Germany -- April 16, 2003 -- Spatial Corp., a Dassault Systemes (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) company and market-leading provider of 3D subsystems, and PROSTEP AG (PROSTEP), a leading provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) integration solutions, today announced that PROSTEP has become a new Spatial Component Application Architecture (CAA) V5 Adopter and is planning to integrate their product suite into the Dassault Systemes V5 environment.

The announcement with PROSTEP continues to demonstrate Spatial's commitment to openness and working with serious companies to increase the number of CAA V5-based solutions on the market. Since it was founded in 1993, PROSTEP has become a competent business-to-business partner for manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive, aerospace and electromechanical industries. As a leading, software-independent engineering solution provider, PROSTEP offers its customers turn-key solutions for engineering processes in the areas of product data integration, migration and communication.

"PROSTEP is excited about becoming a Spatial CAA V5 Adopter and joining the other CAA V5 Adopters able to provide customers with tools designed for the Dassault Systemes V5 environment," said Peter Pfalzgraf, director business center central for PROSTEP. "From our perspective being a Spatial CAA V5 Adopter creates a stable foundation for a successful and continued collaboration with Dassault Systemes solutions."

As a Spatial CAA V5 Adopter, PROSTEP will develop complementary applications based on CAA V5 for its OpenSOLUTION family of products. This applies to both the OpenDXM? Solution, which automates the exchange of data within a single company and between companies throughout the supply chain, and the integration platform OpenPDM?, which supports the cross-system exchange and online communication of product data.

"In today's market, working to effectively leverage product data within a product's lifecycle and within a company can be viewed as mission critical," said Keith Mountain, vice president of marketing for Spatial. "PROSTEP solutions based on CAA V5 will address this vital need and provide another powerful option to customers of Dassault Systemes V5 solutions."
