CAD INDUSTRY VISIONARY JOINS CYON RESEARCH

BETHESDA, MD, March 11, 2003 - Cyon Research Corporation, a leading provider of analysis and consulting for engineering technology markets, today announced the addition of CAD industry visionary David Weisberg as its chief industry strategist.

Weisberg has more than 45 years of experience applying computer technology to engineering design. He joins Cyon Research to lead the firm's campaign to raise awareness of the value of design and engineering to businesses and the economy.

"The engineering software industry is a $10 billion business - a drop in the bucket when compared to the trillions for all manufacturing. But the design and engineering served by the engineering software industry is too often ignored when it comes to a discussion of value. Early in his career, Weisberg was involved in the development, planning, marketing and sales of CAD/CAM systems. Later, he started his own company, Technology Automation Services, which was the original publisher of Automation Engineering Report and A-E-C Automation News Letter, both of which are now Cyon Research Publications.

Throughout his career, Weisberg has provided consulting services to users and vendors of CAD/CAM systems, as well as to investors in these companies. He is a regular contributor to numerous industry publications. Weisberg is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, where his emphasis has been managing CAD/CAM technology, as well as exploring the direction the industry is taking.
Weisberg holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in civil engineering from MIT.
