Bechtel Chooses Axiom’s Design File Manager as MicroStation File Management System

Clearwater, Florida, USA — Bechtel, a renowned leader in global engineering and construction, recently adopted Axiom’s Design File Manager as its official MicroStation file management system for its Las Vegas, Nevada office. Design File Manager helps ensure that MicroStation-file overwrite does not occur while making design files easily available to a large number of designers. Additionally, Design File Manager keeps team members informed of the status (opened, closed, locked, added to a project, user that performed the action, etc.) of their MicroStation files.

"Simplicity," replied Keith Courson, Principal User Support Analyst for Bechtel’s Las Vegas CAD department, when asked about the impact that Design File Manager has had in their organization. Mr. Courson continued, "Design File Manager has made the design file management process a lot easier. It has made the creation of files and the management of their content much simpler. We have better control over what happens to our files now that we have deployed Design File Manager at a site-wide level."

Design File Manager offers project managers accounting information as well. Using a password, project managers can access its accounting back-end and view or print reports on the total hours worked and the file-access history on any given project.
