Microsoft Office Importer Boasts Enhanced MicroStation Formatting Options

Clearwater, Florida, USA � Axiom, the world�s largest independent developer of productivity-boosting MicroStation utilities, announces the release of a new version of Microsoft Office Importer � the utility that enables users to easily import nearly unlimited quantities of word processor and spreadsheet data into MicroStation, without sacrificing formatting.

This Microsoft Office Importer release (version 3.3b for V7 and 8.0b for V8) gives users more control over the formatting of imported word processing data. With the new release, tabs and bullets look the same as in the source Word document after being pasted. Also, text spacing and wrapping has been improved within imported spreadsheet cells.

Microsoft Office Importer�s formatting and import features also include:

• Ability to import huge quantities of spreadsheet and word processing data in one paste

• Linking of imported data to the source document and, if desired, automatic update of the imported elements each time the design file is opened

• Controls for easily setting the height and width of imported text

• Font matching between source document fonts and fonts in MicroStation

• Three ways to control the symbology of imported text and table borders. These are:

• by using the color, weight and style in the source document,
• by using the active symbology settings and
• by using user-defined color, weight and style settings (within Microsoft Office Importer).

• Settings that define which levels are used for imported text and lines
