PTC's Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Receives "Innovator of the Year" Award from CADCAM Magazine 

Needham, MA, January 30, 2003 - Germany's leading design magazine, CADCAM, recently announced that it is awarding PTC (Nasdaq: PMTCE), the product development company TM, its "Innovator of the Year" award in the CAD software category. According to the magazine's panel of judges, the PTC� design solution, Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, sets a new standard for product development software with its ease-of-use, and its modeling and collaboration functions.

 "In my opinion, Pro/E Wildfire sets new standards for product design system functionality," commented Karl Obermann, editor-in-chief, CADCAM. "The results of working with such an intuitive system will be obvious to the end user." 

The Pro/E Wildfire functionality highlighted included the new Wildfire User Model, which results in minimized mouse travel, fewer mouse clicks and reduced time necessary to complete design tasks. The production version of PTC's Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, a breakthrough version of its award-winning Pro/ENGINEER� product design and development software, is scheduled to ship this quarter.
