PTC Receives Nasdaq Notification of Listing Compliance

Stock Ticker Symbol to Return to "PMTC" on Friday, January 31, 2003

Needham, Mass., January 30, 2003 - PTC (Nasdaq: PMTCE) today announced that it received notice on January 29, 2003 from the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel that the Company is now in compliance with all requirements for continued listing on The Nasdaq National Market. As a result, the letter "E" will be removed from PTC's stock ticker symbol beginning on Friday, January 31, 2003, and the previously scheduled hearing on PTC's compliance will be cancelled.

PTC had previously announced that, due to the delayed filing of its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2002, it had received notification from Nasdaq that it was not in compliance with Nasdaq's continued listing rules. Subsequently, on January 28, 2002, PTC filed its Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
