Young People for Design Visualization

January 14, 2003, Las Vegas, NV -- Realworld Imagery, Inc. announces the release of Young People, a photorealistic image collection of over 100 children, teens, and students shown in a wide variety of postures and activities. Young People is the 18th CD in a series of textures and image collections designed for the AEC design visualization community.

Project Manager Kat Bakhu said, "There has been a strong need for an image library of young people by designers of residential projects, schools, parks, playgrounds, malls and similar environments. This release of young people imagery will help designers visualize those environments in a vibrant, realistic manner. We worked especially hard to provide as much variety and as many activities as we could include on one CD."

The Young People CD includes children standing, running, playing soccer, carrying balloons, sitting, eating, riding bikes and scooters, roller blading, skateboarding, tying their shoes, and other activities typically engaged in by children. A collection of high school and college students with backpacks are also included. Many of the images are in full sunlight, while others are shown in a softer indoor light, making it possible for the Young People CD to be used in both exterior and interior settings.

Each 2D image is in the Adobe Photoshop PSD file format on a transparent background, and also the 32 bit TIF file format on a black background with an 8 bit alpha channel mask, making these images render ready and useable in nearly all major design visualization software programs. Regarding including both TIF and PSD formats for each image, Kat Bakhu explained, "We were happy to include both the TIF and PSD formats, as designers have told us that they really appreciate this option."

When asked what plans for future CDs were in the works, Bakhu reported, "We are producing a second volume of our best selling People on the Weekend CD. In addition, we will be producing a deluxe CD focusing on plants in hardiness zones 2 - 6."
