Translation Technologies Joins SolidWorks Solution Partner ProgramAgreement First Step in Extending Feature-Based Native Data Exchange Capabilities to SolidWorks(R) 3D CAD Software Users
SPOKANE, Washington - November 13, 2002 - /PRNewswire/ -- Translation Technologies Inc. (TTI), a developer of software that delivers parametric, feature-based and fully modifiable computer aided design (CAD) translations, announced today that it has received Research Partnership status from SolidWorks Corporation, the leading developer of 3D mechanical design software solutions. The partnership will expand CAD users' ability to exchange 3D modeling data between disparate CAD systems through the use of TTI's technology. TTI, whose software currently converts CAD data between PTC's Pro/ENGINEER, Dassault Systemes' CATIA, and EDS' Unigraphics and I-deas, will extend its software capabilities to include SolidWorks. TTI will add this capability to its service based translations before the end of this year, and will add this capability to Acc-u-Trans CSI, its licensed software, during the first quarter of 2003. "We have had an overwhelming number of requests to add SolidWorks to our translation matrix," said Robert Stevenson, TTI's president and CEO. "The power of TTI's feature-based native data conversion technology combined with our proprietary method of verifying accuracy creates tremendous value for anyone needing translations they can have confidence in." "The addition of SolidWorks to TTI's translation matrix offers an increased opportunity for SolidWorks users to work with companies that have standardized on different CAD systems," observed SolidWorks Solution Partner Program director, Steve Immel. "This partnership complements a focus that SolidWorks Corporation has on making design engineers' jobs easier by improving translation functions." "TTI's partnership with SolidWorks will give customers the flexibility to work with additional suppliers and OEMs throughout the supply chain," Stevenson concluded. "We look forward to this new stage of development." About TTITranslation Technologies, Inc. provides an advanced technology solution to MCAD interoperability problems.
