Axiom Releases New Version of SpecChecker Tailored For Multi-disciplined MicroStation FirmsClearwater, Florida, USA Axiom, the worlds largest independent developer of MicroStation utilities, recently announced the release of SpecChecker 6.3, the utility that quickly and easily performs quality assurance checks on any number of design files. SpecChecker 6.3 offers all the features of past versions like the ability to check entire directories of design files and their cell libraries for CAD standard compliance and the ability to correct CAD standard violations automatically but it now supports "conditional rules" processing, a tool tailored for multi-disciplined firms. Conditional rules are commands that run the appropriate checking and correction procedures associated with the type of design file being processed. For example, if transportation drawings must adhere to a specific set of CAD standards while environmental drawings must adhere to a different set of standards, SpecChecker can use "conditional rules" to utilize the appropriate CAD standard when checking and correcting each type of file. "SpecChecker is the most cost-efficient way to deliver quality design files to our clients," stated John Holzwarth, Regional Technology Manager at the Chicago branch of CH2M Hill. "CH2M Hill can now easily ensure that all our electronic deliverables adhere to our clients standards accurately." Recently, CH2M Hill a multi-disciplined engineering firm with 165 offices worldwide and over 10,000 employees selected SpecChecker as its company-wide standard for performing quality assurance check on its MicroStation files.
