CANONSBURG, Pa., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ANSYS Inc. (NASDAQ:ANSS), a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced a strategic partnership with Honeywell Engines & Systems to aid their engineering-driven design processes and reduce engineering process cycle time.

This multi-year agreement provides Honeywell with the latest in simulation technologies from ANSYS, providing engineers with new up-front design engineering solutions, multi-disciplinary simulation technologies, and knowledge sharing tools. Honeywell will supply direct input for the development of tailored solutions to enhance their engineering designs. The implementation of a new up-front engineering and simulation process will move Honeywell to a CAE-driven design process as opposed to a CAD-centric process.

"We understand that it is critical for our customers to design the right products in order to maintain and enhance their competitive position. We will provide Honeywell with the tools they need to improve their design process," stated Mike Wheeler, ANSYS vice president and general manager. "We're pleased by their choice of ANSYS as a business partner and look forward to a long working relationship."
