OnCourse Receives 5th Annual Technology and Business Award
NEW BERLIN, Wis., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OnCourse Technologies Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: OCTH) was named a winner of Start Magazine's 5th Annual Technology & Business Awards, recognized as a leading-edge solution provider whose software products have transformed manufacturing companies. OnCourse CEO Bernard Woods III says: "At OnCourse, we've begun to change the way manufacturers do business. We are years ahead of our competition in several areas and I am pleased that our market leading products and vision are receiving the acknowledgment and recognition they deserve." According to Start magazine, and T&B Award cosponsor Microsoft Corporation, the winners of Start's 2002 awards exemplify the power of technology to transform the way companies do business today and the ways in which businesses are using this technology to forge new frontiers. Start enrolls an independent panel of distinguished industry experts and financial analysts to choose the T&B Award winners. This year's judges included: Laurie Balch, Dataquest; Julie Fraser, Industry Directions; Dan Miklovic, Gartner; Kevin Prouty, AMR Research Inc.; and Dick Slansky, ARC Advisory Group. "Our products are unique in the marketplace," Woods asserts, "improving engineering time from hours to minutes, while at the same time providing manufacturers bottom line predictability and the technology to facilitate constant improvements. "We see huge pent up demand for our products," Woods reveals, "and we expect significant revenue growth when the markets turn. During this current manufacturing downturn we have continued to invest significant dollars in new product development, to help insure our lead market position. "OnCourse is the only company having advanced technology that automatically calculates the machining cost of components directly from solid CAD models and we have no peers when it comes to automatic generation of production programs for computerized industrial equipment." An OnCourse product, CAMWorks, is the only SolidWorks Gold Partner CAM product -- it runs fully imbedded within the SolidWorks design system, Woods points out. "Now our world leading estimating systems also use the same technology to automatically calculate the cost of manufacturing." Equally significant is the company's e-business Tools4Mfg.com, which successfully offers what the dot.coms promised: backroom-to-backroom procurement with no human intervention offering comprehensive solutions unavailable elsewhere to manufacturers. OnCourse's suite of integrated next generation software products are an amalgamation of "firsts" for the multibillion-dollar metal component manufacturing markets. OnCourse Technologies Inc. is a market leader in developing intelligent software solutions for manufacturers. More than 28,000 manufacturers worldwide use advanced OnCourse software to heighten efficiency in technical estimating, computer aided design (CAD), computer aided manufacturing (CAM), integrated e-commerce systems, and tooling management. OnCourse (OCTH) is a publicly traded Company, whose operating subsidiaries provide software and systems to enhance a manufacturer's productivity.
