Perceptron Adds Ten U.S. Value-Added Resellers for its 3D Scanning Technology

PLYMOUTH, Mich., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perceptron (NASDAQ:PRCP) today announced it has qualified and selected ten new U.S. value-added resellers (VARs) for its ScanWorks(TM) 3D scanning systems.

These systems are comprised of a compact and sophisticated Perceptron sensor, coupled with fast, accurate 3D scanning software, and integrated with a variety of portable articulating coordinate measurement arms. The result is that manufacturers are able to rapidly convert physical objects into digital formats, leading to reduced development times and improved product quality.

The resellers integrate Perceptron's ScanWorks(TM) hardware and software package into portable 3-D scanning systems, resell them to manufacturing companies, and provide all follow-on support. The versatile 3D scanning system, enabled by Perceptron's ScanWorks(TM) software, is used in a large spectrum of applications including reverse engineering, tool & die modifications, benchmarking, CAD comparison, 3D visualization, quality inspection, and others.
